We are currently accepting applications for the Blue School 2012-13 school year for Kindergarten - 4th Grade only. Applications for our 2s, 3s and 4s programs were due on December 1, 2011.
Thank you for your interest in attending Blue School. Our admissions process begins in the fall prior to your desired year of attendance. Please note that children must reach program age requirements by September 1st of the program year for which they are applying. For example, your child must be four years old by September 1, 2012 to apply for the 2012-2013 4s program. Learn more about Blue School program schedules and age requirements.
1. Request an application
• Complete your request for application
2. Prepare your child’s current school reports and/or ERB documents
• 3s program applicants school reports are requested.
• 4s program applicants are required to have a school report.
• Kindergarten through 4th grade applicants are required to have an ERB (learn more at
www.erbtest.org) and school report. Please note that all ERB testing must be completed by
January 14, 2012. (Blue School code: 336648)
• You may download School Report for the Blue School (pdf). which is to be filled out by current
school and sent to Blue School directly.
3. Complete and return your application
• Complete your application.
• Arrange with your current school to fill out school report and have them send report directly to Blue
School.
• Ask ERB office to include Blue School on list to receive test results (Blue School code: 336648).
• All application must include a check for the $60.00 processing fee and a photograph of your family.

4. Attend an Open house
• The selected open house date on your Request an Application will be confirmed by email (open
house dates are first come first serve).
5. Schedule a school tour, child playgroup and parent interview
Tours and open houses offer an opportunity for parents to learn more about our program. Interviews and playgroups are an important part of our admissions process where we learn more about you and your child.
• Once we have received your application and $60.00 processing fee, the admissions team will
schedule a tour, playgroup and parent interview.
• Parents of 2s and 3s/4s will participate with their child in the playgroup.
• Kindergarten applicants will participate in group play with other children of the same age while
parents/guardians are nearby.
• 1st through 4th grade student applicants will be come for individual school visit in classroom.
• All parent interviews are scheduled after the playgroup or school visit.
6. Notifications
Blue School admissions notification letters follow the ISAAGNY timeline:
• 2nd grade through 4th grade letters are mailed Feb 6, 2012
• Kindergarten and 1st grade letters are mailed Feb 10, 2012
• 2s through 4s program letters are mailed Feb 15, 2012
